FROM ALL AROUND TO YOUR STORY
Set up the views once. Make the editing decisions in Final Cut.
Start with a stitched 360° MP4 or MOV from your camera’s desktop software. Your original recording stays on your Mac or connected drive.
Pan, tilt, level, and adjust the view width for each angle. Live previews let you refine the framing while the video plays.
Save your setup and open it in Final Cut Pro. Play the prepared project and press 1–3, or 1–4 for four views, to cut between your angles.
SAME MOMENT. YOUR CHOICE.
The view ahead. The wing against the horizon. The moment inside the cabin. A single recording gives you options.
Try the angle buttons. With a button focused, press 1–4.
A framing illustration, not an app recording. AngleSelect prepares the views; Final Cut Pro records the cuts.
Front view selected.
BUILT AROUND YOUR EDIT
Choose your fixed camera views once. Switch between them during playback in Final Cut Pro with the number keys. No reframing keyframes needed to make those cuts.
Choose 16:9 for a landscape edit or 9:16 for a vertical one. Each format keeps its own framing while you work.
Your setup references the original recording. There’s no need to render a separate video file for every angle before editing.
Preview and frame locally, then save to disk or save and open in Final Cut Pro. Your footage isn’t uploaded to this website.
A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS
The input format matters: a stitched, full 2:1 equirectangular MP4 or MOV. Footage exported from Insta360 and GoPro cameras has been tested. Other cameras that export this format may work, but individual models are not all verified. Raw camera files need stitching first.
The current app exports to Final Cut Pro. Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Windows support are future possibilities, with no release dates announced.
Yes. Download the Mac pre-release and read the setup requirements. Version 0.5.0 is for Apple silicon, needs no Python or extra media tools, and is not yet notarized. A one-time purchase is planned for the commercial release; pricing and license details are still being prepared.
Performance depends on your Mac and footage. In Final Cut Pro, ProRes Proxy media can make multicam playback much smoother. Switch back to Optimized/Original media before your final export. Selecting HD in AngleSelect does not create proxies.
“No more keyframing” describes cutting between the fixed views you set up in AngleSelect. Animated pans, tilts, or zooms still use your editor’s animation tools. AngleSelect exports fixed framing for each view; it does not create camera animation.
It creates different views looking out from the same camera position. It does not reconstruct hidden objects or add image detail. A 4K project size does not turn a crop of a 360° recording into a native 4K camera shot.
